i have a Saab 9-3 convertable, just bught. Two days after the pixels started going in ACC. I bought it at a good repupatable dealer. It had 45,000 miles. I read a lot about these pixel things but thought I was good. After buying 2 junk ebay ACC units with faulty pixels or missing shapes and getting my money back- Salavage, good luck. I found a guy that remanufactures them in MA but it was 315.00. I want my cars perfect. I got it and the first ride a flash and a 22 and the unit said off. of couse I kept getting repeated questions because it was my car and not his junk part. Evaery ACC function works perfectly in my car and did with all 4 units. I read the 22 is uncommon and that means the actual ACC is messed up and mine was not wanting to come back on but will. I called Saab and he said get rid of it. That is trouble and if we looked at it, it would be more than a new one. The problem starts and hit Auto of evan off in my case and it would come back on in a couple minutes but this will only worse and eventually the ACC will not evan turn on.

Another one I heard but dont believe is it is the fan and relay. That was a friend that knnows a friend. I doubt that one cause the fan or fan speeds would be gone. I have read numerious times now that 22 means the unit is bad and dying. You really have to dig the net to get correct if any Saab information on things. My Volvo certaintly had some better qualities. I put the new refurbushed ACC in the car tonite and have not tried it yet. I am affraid of another problem with this guy. Then he said," Never calibrate it using the ECNO and off. Well why is it there then? STUPID!! He put it back in his car and said no codes- works fine. Bull- it was to shut me up. The questions and emailswere rediculaus. i had changed the part 4 times and am not that dumb. The others all work. Then I found a new one online for 480.00. Hate to say but buy new. The refurbushed- he would not say exactly what he does, trade secrete. I knew he fixed the pixels but these parts could have 200,000 miles on them.

To me Saabs do to much checking- they seem to over check and the radio and ACC going off everytime you shut the car off for 10 minutes aggravates me like mad. I love the Saab convertable but they are quarkey!
