What I don't like about Sport mode - unless I'm in a hurry - is that it downshifts TOO readily when I don't really want it to. The beauty of a turbo 4 is the high torque available from fairly low rpm - say 1800 and up - so why drop a gear when you can just squeeze the gas pedal and dial up more speed? No fuss, no muss. Having owned two manual tranny SAAB's before my Arc auto I was pleasantly suprised to find the SAAB auto did the same thing for me - allowed me to dial up some acceleration or climb a grade without a downshift. Either ways -it's all good.
