a newer 9-5 that has been driven a lot (ie highway) is probably better than an older one that has been mainly used for short trips... especially as the older ones are a little prone to sludging + short trips makes it that much worse... most of the bugs were worked out by 2006... I would just look over the records closely + see what has been done, and get the car looked over by a Saab indy... there may be suspension wear items etc, but that kind of stuff is usually no big deal to fix...
