1999-2003 all tend to leak frm. hd gasket where block and alu. front cvr. meet. Step1 is to enlage/replace the breather nipple in the valve cover. I have enlarged the idle breather hole on every car I have seen since 1999, Saab finally put out a new nipple with the increased hole. This reduces the crankcase pressure. Step 2 is to remove the valve cover and torque down the head, Saab has stretch bolts and uses angle settings. Somtimes the stretch reduces the torque even as low as hand tight esp. bolt #10 rear of engine near rad fan. I use 95lb/ft but stop if bolt is stretching and replace it.
