Two weeks ago I posted a plea for help with my 6 cyl 2001 SE wagon which was idling poorly once warmed up. "I've replaced both DIC's, installed a new throttle body, an oxygen sensor, plugs...I've bought numerous tanks of gas and used injector cleaner since these problems began." The overwhelming consensus was CKS (crank shaft sensor) and one responder was surprised my indie hadn't already tried changing that. Carmen is a great guy and a great Saab mechanic who has been looking after my car for seven years so I wasn't all that surprised when, after having had the car towed in for the third time, he gently reminded me me he'd already changed the CKS and then showed me the receipt to prove it.
The car drives great at speed but once warm the turbo needle jumps around at idle and generally the motor runs rough and seems to be on the verge of stalling. I gun the engine to prevent that. Carmen thinks the cause may be a failing electrical connection which would be practically impossible to track down. I've loved this car since the day I bought it seven years ago. It has only 134,000 km on the odometer! Thank you for your patience, people. I hope you'll forgive me for my earlier mistake and give this one another shot.
