I looked schematic diagram in the WIS, and the circuit is pretty simple. There is a vacuum switch to the right of the booster that controls the vacuum pump relay. Pull the electical connector off the switch and the pump should stop running. If it doesn't, the relay is stuck in the energised position and should be replaced. If the vacuum pump turns off, then the relay is working, and you have a big vacuum leak somewhere. In my case it was the brake booster diaphram that was ruptured.
