All,
I have an 06 9-5 sportcombi with 56k miles. Today I had an odd issue where I was driving here in AZ, (mid 80s), and when I went to accelerate, it really took a while for the car to move, I almost had to push the pedal to the floor. Then when it decided to get going, the turbo really kicked in, RPMS went to about 5500 and it took off, but it seemed like it took a long time to get there. In the beginning it felt like I was accelerating in an old Subaru legacy wagon. Then, about an hour later, the car was fine again and drove normally. This has happened a few times before, but is by no means a consistent/regular issue. When it happens though, since you are really kickign the turbo in, your MPG drops by about 1mpg for me on the SID.
No check engine lights, car has had all regular service. Maybe only the slight issue would be that I have 89 octane in it right now, but I've run that probably the last 5k miles. Only other symptom is that I also seem to have some pinging when accelerating when the turbo is in the middle white zone. However, this comes and goes as well.
Throttle body and PCV valve were replaced a while ago, I think maybe in the low 40k mileage range.
Any ideas?
