Well, if you want to get to know how to do this yourself, get an AC Manifold (thing with dials and hose) and hook it up to your low and high sides on the AC. Start the car and turn on the ac, put to max low temp. Watch the dials and you will see the compressor pressure and the low side pressure. This will tell you if you have a problem. If the low side is low, then start adding collant to spec pressure (I think it's like 60 lbs, but don't quote me on it, it's been a bit and look it up). The compressor side should be 150+, again look it up. One of my cars has a low compressor side, but still works ok. The other has a nice high high side and works tremendously. The AC is so cold can't use it all the time, and it does not freeze up. You can get a good enough manifold at Harbor Freight to do the deed, I think for like $50 or so. Once set, note pressures and leave it on overnight. Check the next day that the pressures are the same. If low changes, probably a leak somewhere.
But I also agree with the other poster. There are some good INDYs out there that can also do this.
Some states (like WI, arg...) do not allow the sale of the coolant, fyi.
