"ricer!" What BS. I feel that LEDS are superior in many many applications!
I have an led for a trunk light in my Aero and it is so much brighter and better than stock and produces no heat, and it will probably last 10,000 hours or more.
They may be Chinese made, but they are great. I also use them for the interior lights on my old Porsche and they are much much brighter than the old bulbs.
MB, Audi, Porsche, Saab and almost everyone all use LEDS in their new cars.
In my Porsche the LED brake lights are much brighter than stock.
I have used LEDS in many applications around my house and they are great because they don't burn out and produce almost zero heat.
