Xenon Auto Leveling Issues - $$$ Frustrating!

Hi!
I've replaced 1 front and also the rear gravity sensors on my '04 9-5 Aero, as well as the rear sensor "plug" which had a badly corroded wire. A couple hundred $ later, I still have a fault somewhere in the system and suffer from lights that point downward and an anoying dash warning light. I'm driving with high beams on all the time now, which make things a little more normal in the city, but are pretty useless in the country compared to normal high beam position. I waited over 1 month for the rear corroded "plug" part. Disgusting. Plus, their performance was never great to begin with, and this auto leveling "feature" is infuriating. Can't back into a snowbank without risking breaking them. My dad's 2008 9-5 wagon is suffering the same fate, again with months of waiting time for spare parts. Can this auto-leveling be disabled, along with the dash warning light, and the lights pointed back to a normal angle? Or would this destroy the high beam function?
What have you folks done?
Thnx!
Rick
