Just to clarify:
The transfer tube has an "O" ring where it enters the block and another where it enters the water pump. One on each end.
If you don't remove the tube from the block you won't see the 2nd "O" ring, but you'll be missing the chance to replace it with a fresh one while you have the pump removed.
My Graf pump came with two "O" rings but one was slightly larger than the other, even though the tube is the same size on each end. I read that Hepu pumps come the same way. The Saab parts catalogue shows the same part number for both of the seals.
