I tried doing this once on a different Bosch alternator, and the repair procedure requred that you unsolder the rotor windings from the slip rings and press all the pieces off the shaft to get at the bearings. There was a lip on the rotor shaft that kept you from pulling the bearing off from the front.
This was on a 9000 alternator, and the 9-5 might be different, but I gave up and got a rebuilt unit. I might still have the bearings somewhere, but there is no guarantee they would fit.
