I think I could get them down on the programming charge (it shouldn't take more than 5 minutes, certainly not an hour, + I don't want the carwash, coffee + donuts, as John says, just bring the tech2 to the parking lot + do it!)... but I don't want to bother negotiating. I don't have to with my indy. He'll do it at a more than fair price without haggling. The dealer is merely hurting their business...
I do wish I could get better prices on the parts. The Chevy dealer still made a profit even offering me (a peon) trade pricing (same as eeuro) + I regularly bought from them + all were happy. The Saab dealer prices are too high + so I order from eeuro instead. So what's better? Volume or margin? I tell our dealer to their face "your prices are way too high, I'm getting that elsewhere" and they don't seem to care...
