Same happened to our 2000 lpt, symptoms were hesitation and slight bucking at idle. First went to limp home mode, then died on the freeway. No codes, and after a week, the nearby dealer told us they could find nothing wrong with the car and we drove it home.
After that our indy drove it for a week and determined we needed a new throttle body. I was convinced it was CPS but he was right.
