2002 9-5 Aero 2.3T, 82k miles, 5 speed auto. About 1 year ago wife went about 250 miles from home and Tran light and CEL came on and dropped into LHM. She drove it home 250 miles. I read all the posts on here, checked vacuum hoses, disconnected battery, still had all the lights on and the TB did not have to be reset. 2 days later the idiot lights went out and remained that way for a year (no drives over 50 miles). Last Sat she drove 400 miles and the Tran Light & CEL light came back on. She is still 400 miles away. The local Auto Zone pulled a code of P0748. My brother checked the TB and it does not need to be reset, but he did say that the neg battery terminal was loose (we just put in a new battery 3 weeks ago) 2 days later the lights went back out. She had indy look at it and he said it was fine but that the trans had 2 pints too much fluid and recommended trans fluid change. She drove it 40 miles and the lights are back on and in LHM. Called the indy back and now he says that it needs a new valve body without looking at it again. Then he offered me $2k to buy it from me as is. This indy has a good rep so I don't think he is a scammer, but hate to give my Aero away.
