I put a rebuilt alternator in my 1999 2.3, I have the scratches to prove it, and now the car won't turn over properly and start. It was fine before, now the dash lights up, it turns over very slowly and then stops. I cleaned the battery terminals, charged the battery, it's reading 12.57 volts. I didn't touch the starter, or so I think, there was a lot of wrestling around to get the alternator out. Any advice would be appreciated, have to get it back on the road before Tuesday morning. Thanks!
