The Saab part number is 900 300 237, list is $280 and it says it takes one hour of labor to install. I ordered one for a customer who didn't like the aluminum look in the Aero. We looked at it. It comprises and entire dash face with the vents and stuff attached. Same with the console piece. It has some electrical gadget already installed.

The new non-glossy NON-FINGERPRTINTING dash is clearly shown in the catalog. It's still genuine wood, although the edge around the intruments thats exposed doesn't blend as well as with the dark glossy wood. That's the way all Arcs and Linears come for 2002. I like it and I certainly wouldn't spend almost $400 to change it.

There was no way for your dealer to order you anything different. That's the way the cars come for 2002. There were quite a few postings on this board earlier in the year when the '02's were introduced regarding this. Were you also upset by the new nose and 5 speed automatic too? Your lack of underatanding of all the 2002 changes isn't the dealers responsibility.
Fortunately Saab has about 400 my99-01 glossy dash kits in stock. Get yours soon.
