I desperately need my car over the next few days so I was looking around on line for a Canadian source. AutoPartsWay had the Bosch OE CPS in stock for under $90 with free shipping... could get it overnight for extra $35 or so.

Just for grins I called a local PartsSource store, and almost beyond belief, they had one correct CPS in Winnipeg 10 minutes away. I didn't care that it was $165 because of the urgent need to keep my car on the road at the moment.

I risked driving my car there to pick it up. It did hiccup hard 3 times on the way home. After backing in to my garage and stopping the engine, it did NOT restart, even after 20 minutes cooling off. So I dug in and got the new CPS installed in about an hour. MUCH easier job on this 2.3T than on my old 3.0 V6. Started up smartly and runs like a top!
