This is our 3rd LPT Turbo replacement 2 other cars. Not the first time to the party. Rebuilt from a very reliable source. Install went well, now having this problem. Also installed a PV6 (about the 5th one that has been done on other cars).

After warming up idling for at least 3-4 mins, we are getting smoke out the tail pipe. It looks like an oil smoke, but could be a combination. Smoke gets worse after starting. Have checked the following. If car is stopped and cooled off, no smoke until warm up again.

1) Still smokes with oil dip stick out.
2) Still smokes with valve cover vent pipe off
3) Seems to be antifreeze at the turbo, loosened and leaked on both sides
4) Seems to be oil at the turbo

Right now we are leaning to a bad rebuild, but still very skeptical on that conclusion... It seems when the turbo heats up it has a problem.

Tried to eliminate the following

1) No Antifreeze to turbo
2) No Oil to turbo
3) Back pressure in oil sump backing oil up into turbo through drain line

Any other ideas out there?
