I had a 92 Dodge Grand Caravan with ABS (Bendix?) that was bad. Supposedly when it fails you still have normal braking. Hah! I had just pulled off the freeway on vacation with my family and the ABS light came on as I was stopping to park (so at low speed). As I stopped the brake pedal went completely to the floor. There was *no* braking function. After being off for a while and restarted, I did have brakes again. Dodge fixed the ABS twice under warrantee and I dumped the car after less than 5 yrs (it was truly a POC)
Be cautious.
