My 00' wagon has been a great ride for several years now, but in the last 2 months, has given me more problems than I want to deal with. First, the CEL came on the same day a replacement catalytic converter was installed. The cat was not a factory unit, but had the same shape and O2 port location. When I went to Auto Zone and got the code read, it mentioned the O2 heater control circuit.
I replaced both sensors with Walker direct-fit units, disconnected the battery to clear the code, and guess what?! Within one mile the CEL light came back on!! WTF!!
The guy at Auto Zone scanned the OBC again and the message is the same-P1141.

The second issue is with the airbag warning light and the warning triangle on the dash display that came on a few weeks ago with no warning. I've read enough older posts to know it's a guessing game until the system is scanned properly, but what causes this system to all of a sudden stop working? These are the type of issues that makes me hate newer, computer dependent cars.

BTW, yearly state inspection is due by the end of July and now I'm screwed royally until I get both of these things fixed...

Any suggestions?
