No, I don't think it's "sort of" at all.....and I speak as a "second hander," having had 14 SAABs, but never owning a new SAAB since we bought a '75 99LE. It's a real problem.......but second-hand SAABs depreciate so much that it makes sense to buy them that way. We have leased two new cars ( in '01 and '04) but finally decided it was just too expensive. Love our present car ('04 9-5 Arc wagon), and am tempted to consider a new 9-5, given the prices. But the issue here (as you are well aware) is a sort of "chicken and egg" conundrum. After SAAB's year-long hiatus between GM and Spyker, followed by the significant downsizing of US dealers, many people are hesitant to buy until they see if SAAB is going to make it. Stories about the assembly line in Trollhattan being shut down don't help. But if people don't start buying in greater numbers, from everything I read, this can only end one way. Needless to say, the world economic situation also contributes to this, but I am in the camp that believes we needn't hold our breath waiting for that to turn around. Maybe 5 years- if we're lucky.
