I had that issue--all the dash lights on, first my Indy thought it was the ABS unit, then the sender, then found the ring (with gear sprockets--assume that's what you mean) separated, and said it was the first he had seen like that. He could have charged me for much more, as some do, but finally settled only on that. He said the Chinese CV joints are crap, and he obtained a SAAB part (18 moths ago, expensive). It's a crucial part, and if the Chines unit is crap, not good. A used one, which can be easily inspected to see its condition, might be fine, but mail order on that might get you more crap, unless you have a reliable supplier --Genuine SAAB might be a reliable source-people have complained some here about Eeuroparts Chinese parts.
