I've been reusing the nuts for 24 years now. There are lots of things I am supposed to do by the book that I have learned are not actually required. It starts with necessity as in the car has to go and you don't have the seal or nut or whatever. After a while you realise the car doesn't suffer and the customer saves a few bucks.
