I saw a couple Griffins at our local dealer back then. They were very nice.
Basically, as of 2006, every car was an Aero in terms of power. The Aero versions though had Aero seats + would have the lowered suspension. I don't know if the base models then had Aero suspensions or just a suspension upgrade. Ditto for the Griffin. But the seats in it were very nice sport seats dressed in what looked like the natural leather option + 2 tone in the car I remember looking in. Very nice. The matte chrome trim also makes Dame Edna less apparent...
Anyway, it's an end of life special edition car. Saab has done this many times over. Think of the CE from the c900 days, which had basically all the power of the SPG but different trim (with some unique touches vs all other models to make it special)... The og9-3SE... etc... they tart them up a bit to sell a last gasp before the new model release... I don't really see anything wrong with that...
