Make sure both front wheels are up off the ground, otherwise you will be fighting both the spring and the anti-roll bar when you are putting back in the ball joint. I have used the WIS method (remove the three ball joint bolts at the bottom), and the only problem is you have to use a pry bar to push down the lower arm to get the ball joint back in. It also helps if you have a tapered punch to align the holes in the ball joint with those on the arm.
