For whatever it's worth, the Koni FSDs transform the 2000 Aero - not cheap, but amazing improvement - car is flatter in curves; ride is not harsh (I think improved over the stock 2000 Aero) Genuine Saab has them for the 2007 model. Not compatible with lowered suspension, but OK with Aero stock. Worth reading about them before making any decisions.
The other item that transformed handling was installing camber bolts (front) and shims (rear) tweaked to "aggressive street" as my alignment guru puts it. Much improved.
