I recently replaced one (1) sub-frame bushing on my 2003 Aero with a Scantech item. It was the right rear bushing, which is the one that I hear most often goes bad. The job took me a good day to complete - most of that time spent trying to drop the sub-frame assembly enough to get at the bushing.

I purchased two bushings - they were only $35 (+/-) each just in case. And I needed it because the first bushing went in cocked and the outer cup was destroyed. The 2nd bushing wnet in without a problem.

Prior to the repair, I was getting the "Clunking" noise whenever I shifted between park ad drive or reverse and drive. After the repair, all is quiet.

Given that the local Indy wouldn't touch the job without replacing all of the bushings - we never got to discussing a price, I figured that the $70 in parts and a Saturday's labor was worth it.

One hint, take a hacksaw blade and 1) cut out the rubber insert of the old bushing and then 2) cut the outer shell of the old bushing from inside - where therubber used to reside.
