I like mine ('11 9-5 Aero with Navi and HUD) so far, as mentioned elsewhere my one regret is not getting the HK sound upgrade.
I come from 20 years of convertibles with MT's (still have my '08 Aero vert for weekends) so it is a big change for me on a daily driver car. Still wish the 6 cylinder had a MT available, but I have grown to love the looks of the car and it is fast and handles very very well with AWD. Shorten it a little, give it 350 hp and a MT, and it'd make a stunning coupe or hatch but I won't hold my breath.
It's got some quirks, and I have some minor issues with the radio RDS not showing up on AM/FM and rear window defroster kills AM/FM reception when it is on and not all grids heating up. Probably means a new back window is needed - parts availability for a car with less than 1000 on the road in the US and given Saabs situation is a little scary.
Based on some of the literature I thought the car would recognize speed limit signs via camera and put them in the driver's display TSR traffic sign recognition- apparently not on mine, that must come from the GPS so not every road shows the information. Too bad as the camera is there for the lane departure and guided parking assist.
Cooled seats with remote start does not work despite it is selected in the Config menu, don't know what that might be. Tech2 maybe and maybe same with the lack of RDS on the navi radio (no menu options for RDS in the config menu)?
The interior is really nice, I thought nicer than the BMW's I looked at and probably one of the nicest and unique in the price range. The seats are some of the best I've ever sat in. I feel upgraded to business class in those seats.
It's a neat car and definitely not one you see everywhere like BMW or Audi, which I guess is part of the problem.... But if it is any glimpse into what they could do with a new 9-3 and other models then it'd be a shame if SAAB can't get through the current situation intact.
