with my 02 Aero SW w/ 78k miles. I too replaced my alarm module after my SID started displaying "Service Theft Alarm". I did so after doing some research and assumed it was the module. I sent my OE out to be refurbed by BBM. I re-installed it and for the first couple start-ups my SID gave me the "Check OK" message. Then on the 3rd or 4th start-up I got the dreaded "STA" message again. It was then that I realized the STA message is probably something else -- such as a door sensor. I haven't done anything about it yet, yes complacent, except hit the clear button on the SID each time I start the car. Yes, PITA!! It's too bad the nearest dealer wants $50 to plug my car into their Tech 2 or I would have had the fault codes some time ago. How difficult is it to get at the wiring Anders described?
