All SE models after 1999 have V6 engine, so..... 1) Timing belt AND pulleys MUST be changed every 60K miles. Saab paid for only a new timing belt with the 60K Service, but owners of these cars have reported failures of the factory original timing belt pulley and tensioner between 60K and 120K miles (the next scheduled belt change). It is important to have these additional parts changed with the belt at every 60K interval.
2) Engine oil cooler. The oil cooler for the V6 sits beneath the intake manifold and is notorious for developing leaks which allow the oil and coolant to mix - very bad! Stainless Steel versions of this cooler exist (they may have been factory pieces on the Cadillac Catera V6) so you should plan on installing one of these rather than another Saab original part made of aluminum or whatever.
Since this car is 10+ years old with 90K miles, I recommend a new timing belt, pulleys, tensioner, and new oil cooler be installed unless the current owner has proof all these parts have been replaced.
