The only part I had a problem with initially was getting the rod to release from the finger lever after I removed the T10 screw. I had to apply force to the rod while maneuvering the finger lever to get it to detach. After that it was easy. When the jalousie breaks on my 2004 I will definatly remove the shifter knob vice snipping the jalousie.
