Here's the scoop. It was traded in back in September at a local, well respected Honda dealer. They've lowered the price twice trying to get rid of it and I think they were elated when a Saab crazy like me showed up. $13,541 including a new battery (why do 9-5's like to eat batteries?).

Titan Grey exterior which I've never seen before but is very attractive. I finally get ventilated seats again, which being an avid cyclist I really appreciated in a past 9-5 that had them. What a great way to get rid of the sweat when you're done riding!

Car is very clean. Minor trim scuff marks, etc can be fixed for less than $200 in parts from the dealer thanks to JustinHiFi's parts list! Exterior is in great shape for 58k miles...only a couple of really minor scratches that I've found so far. Tires look to be almost new, Continental Extreme Contact DWS which have rave reviews on Tirerack.

Risks involved in this car: no owner's manual in the glovebox which is strange. No maintenance history but my trusted local Saab dealer was kind enough to run the VIN and said they didn't see anything scary.

The dealer has "Autocheck" on their web site which is a competitor to Carfax and all of the info there checked out. The previous owner left her registration info in the glovebox. She moved here from Chicago and all of the dates match the Autocheck dates. I tried calling her based on a Google search that brought up her phone number. Number is no longer valid. I'll be mailing her a letter asking if by any chance she still has the owners manual and the second key which is missing.

Any thoughts? Good or bad decision? Decent mitigation of risk? Am I insane?
