'05 ARC: TB slow to react to pedal

Nothing that just happened, but after driving my wife's '08 Honda Odyssey the last couple weeks, it is impressive how immediate the drive-by-wire reaction time is. My '05 ARC TB response is just dead slow and it gets confused if I let off, then back on quickly. It will literally do nothing for a second before it goes to where I want it. This has been dangerous at times when I pull out into traffic but maybe hesitate for a second before jumping back on the gas. This is definitely not turbo lag I am feeling; that is obvious. I had a new TB put on by the dealer 25K miles ago but the car was practically new to me so can't say it was different before. Any advise because I can't believe this can be normal. - Thank in advance.
