The other day I posted the following message about lights flickering and then radio showing RADIO LOCKED while driving.
http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/bb/9-5/index.html?bID=234910
Went to the dealer this morning (Charles River Saab). They checked cables and batteries and did not see anything.
They reported that "REPROGRAMMED THE VIN INTO THE DICE UNIT. PROGRAMMED THE RADIO AND IT IS WORKING NOW. IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN IT COULD BE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM OR A PROBLEM IN THE DICE UNIT".
Left the dealer and with 2 minutes radio locked again. I turned around and they did refund the $120 for reprogramming, but what do I do next. The dealer says they will need to troubleshoot and that could take a few hours and I may need to replace the DICE.
Not wanting to spend lots of money, any thoughts? Should I go aheard and replace the DICE? If it is the DICE unit why just the radio acting up. The only other electrical issue I see is that the interior lights don't come on when set to the middle switch position. They turn on for a 2-3 seconds when opening the door and then immediately time out and go off.
Also, about three weeks ago we took to car to CRW to reprogram the siren on the alarm that had been going off. But everything has been find until now.
