Thank you for answering so quickly Les.
Yes, the oil cooler was replaced in October.
They diagnosed a bad head gasket by seeing that there was coolant leaking from the engine. They called me into the garage so I could see that there was coolant leaking on some area on the driver's side of the engine, located sort of low on that side. Can't really draw a picture here. The mechanic did do a cooling system pressure test while I stood there and said that it was holding just fine, but when I asked him how long he thought I had on the car since there is no money here, he said that it was not possible to say.
If I remember correctly, it is oil in the coolant (which can be seen in the reservoir), but I don't believe there is coolant in the oil (if that is possible in this case).
I did pull the car out of the spot a few minutes ago and pull back in OK, but I will take your advice and not use the parking brake now that it's cold, despite the fact that IT'S A SAAB! %^)
I understand what you mean by not driving the car with coolant in the oil, it's just that I'm completely stuck. I have to get to work, but it's freelance, so I have no idea when it will end. Fortunately, it's not far from home.
