2000 9-5 SEV6 wagon, 119K.
If anyone cares to get more info concerning my 9-month ongoing issue, check out some of my previous posts. Internet research netted me a factory bulletin authorizing a wiring harness update for SRS system warning lights (code B2863) that keep coming back. My dealer apparently wasn't aware of this bulletin while the car was in, so after 3 separate visits to clear/repair the SRS issue, he gave up.
As for my CEL (the little orange engine icon); the dealer couldn't find anything wrong in the wiring, voltage signal or connections, he clears the codes on 3 separate visits and the warning lights still come back. The tech blames it on my Walker direct-fit O2 sensors for triggering the 'heater wire fault' codes (P0141, P0420, P1135).
Oddly enough, I found another article describing my exact issue, but it was the ground wire, not the voltage wire, that was at fault, allowing voltage to be measured (the most commonly checked issue), but an 'assumption' that there was grounding at the ground wire when there was none.
If I cannot fix both of these issues, I am stuck with a beautiful, great running car that I will have to eventually send to the salvage yard, because it will not pass inspection!
Also looking for an indy near Fayatteville/Pinehurst or Wilmington NC that may be able to help.
Thanx
Rick
