Autodim mirror wiring?

I have the WIS but I have been unable to confirm that the red wire going to the connector is the positive and the black one is the negative.
Can anybody confirm?
Could also someone confirm that I can tap power from the microphone connector? My multimeter shows about 10V there when the switch is on. Would that be OK?
Thanks in advance!
