Pic of my 9-5 Aero SC 60th with new Borbet LV5s and Dunlop Winter Sport 3Ds. Went up to Snoqualmie Pass east of Seattle to test them a few days ago, I made it up a relatively steep snow-covered hill with ice underneath that my BMW 335i xDrive had trouble negotiating last winter with all-season tires. I went with the 16" size as the Tire Rack was out of the 3Ds in 17s, the ride improved over my 17" Bridgestone RE960AS Pole Positions that I took off to install these. I was very impressed with the Dunlops, I almost didn't make it up this same hill in the AWD BMW. The Dunlops were fantastic at higher speeds on an unplowed interstate lane as well, I felt quite a bit more confident than I would with the all-season tires.
Performance in the dry is quite good for a winter tire, these are a higher profile which I expected to be more aloof in normal use at sea level in Seattle - they have a better ride than the 17" Bridgestones, and handle better than I thought they would.
