Shift flare with the 5-speed Auto box?? Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Thu, 9 Feb 2012 10:18:03 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I test drove one of the four 2008s I have identified. Beautiful Aero with new Pirelli P6 tires, local owner traded it in for a Cadillac CTS at Holiday time. One shopping cart mar on the rear passenger door that is too deep to polish out but too thin to justify repainting.
The tranny seems to drag out the 1-2 upshift. Is this common with the 5-speed? Is this the reason for the special 3309 fluid? Shift is very smooth by being slow but I grew up in the era when slow shifting by an auto box was a harbinger of expensive trouble.
