Yes!!!! I am having the same problem with a '00 9-5 base sedan. It developed during the second summer I owned the car (don't remember it during the first) and the dealer says he can't duplicate the problem. It appears at 85 degrees F and above, disappears below that temp. Amazingly it will appear and disappear during the same long drive if the outside temp is fluctuating around the 85 degree point.

I received one reply last summer from a mechanic in California who said it is a problem with the Direct Ignition Cassette. I don't really want to spend $350 US to swap out electronic parts in hope of it being the problem. The ECU seems to be a more likely culprit based, but Saab USA says they have never heard of the problem. I came to this BB just to find others with the same problem and hopefully solutions to it.
