Book times can be a general guide Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Fri, 17 Feb 2012 14:53:01 In Reply to: book labor time on belt/pulley, Saabinhappy, Fri, 17 Feb 2012 13:21:40 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have access to Book Times on my work computer and I have seen some that are dead wrong. Evan being a slow D-I-Y-er I can't imagaine a Pro being able to do the job in th printed time allotment.
But since it generally takes me twice as long to do any service on my car as a Pro (see below post, I always double the book time when deciding whether to tackle a job myself), and I have twice done the job you describe in 4 hours, a Pro may be able to do it in two hours. MAY be able to do it, there can be a multitude of factors that would increase this time.
