YES they did use that tagline....and it was so true. I remember the first time I drove a 900t. It was a 1979 model, and I picked it up at Saab in Orange CT to take it up to NE for the weekend. It was a blue 3 door 900 turbo. It was raining badly and I hit route 95 and I could not believe the car. That weekend was a revelation. I bought my own 900t 3 door within a few months......I had a 93b, a 95, and a 96 before that, but the 900t was awesome......that is all I drove until 1999 when we bought a 95 wagon. the 1979, 1985, 1988 spg, 1988 convertible....
My first drive in a 95 was about the same. I got my hands on a 1998 or 1999 95 v6 stick. one of the first in the USA. It was a magazine roadtest car.....Got to drive it up to Monterey on a weekend.....I was amazed and we bought a 1999 wagon soon after......That was followed by a 2001 Aero which we still have and the 2003 Aero auto.
GM never got it.....I remember Bob Sinclair saying GM would be the end of Saab......and he was right.
