I have repaired the harness in my 03 9-5 aero several times. I used solder-less connectors. You use a heat gun to melt the plastic tubing and the solder inside. They work well. But the last time, mine had so many wires broken, I decided to replace the harness. I wrapped a lot of electrical tape around the areas prone to wear.
