I have never had to replace the vacuum solenoid valve at fire wall.
It is much more common that the vacuum hoses breaks and pop off between intake manifold, vacuum solenoid valve and turbo boost bypass valve (charge air bypass valve).
Loved child has many names.
So if I were you, I would check and replace the vacuum hoses from engine to vacuum valve to bypass valve and also check the bypass valve if it holds vacuum (suck on the hose attached).
