the spec for the car is synthetic 0w40. The lower number helps with cold weather starts and fuel mileage, the higher number is the one that's important for normal running. IMHO, 30 weight is too low for a turbo motor, especially in summer. On a 9-5 just be sure the oil spec is ACEA A3/B3. You mix of oils may not meet this spec.
I run 10W40 Mobil 1 Hig Mileage all year-round in New England and it seems fine. I might run a 5W40 or 5W50 if I think of it for winter, but all four of our Saabs seem happy with the 10W40.
