"Pulsations" when accelerating (auto Trans).

I just acquired a 2004 9-5 ARC wagon. Under a moderate acceleration, I can feel a "pulsation". Almost like traveling over a mild washboard. Just replaced the plugs and ignition module. But it was doing it prior to the changes. I worry about the (auto) trans. I have been advised to use Mobile ATF 3309 at next change. Could this be like a limited slip rear end that uses a friction modifier? I fear the last owner did not use the right fluid at the last change. Your thoughts on the 3309? Saab fluid is $18 a qt!
Thanks,
RickE
