I say get a 9-5 and fix it up or fix your old one.
I just did that to my 2001 Aero. After a bad MAF sensor did in piston #1 I decided to bite the bullet and put in forged pistons, Stage 1, new bearings, valve guides, turbo rebuild, new engine mounts hoses etc...
This site has been invaluable is helping. We have 2 Aeros a 2003 auto and my 2001. My wife bought here Aero a couple of years ago for less than $8000 with some CPO left. It is a great car......has been very reliable.
We will have these Saabs for a long time. Nothing measures up unless you want to pay $60,000 and put up with paying lots of insurance and payments etc..
We have to cherish these Saabs for the wonderful vehicles they are and remember that the parts are available......aftermarket, junk yards eBay etc...
I am lucky enough to have a good indy and to do lots of my own work with the help of this site.
