Help - Temporary surrender before second assault...... 2008 Aero
The owner's manual says you can change the lamps from inside the engine compartment. I haven't tried the left side yet but it appears it will require removal of the battery cover, the battery heat shield, and potentially the battery itself.
I tried the right side following instructions - no space. I removed the Mass Air Flow sensor and hose to Cobra Pipe - still insufficient space to see what I was attempting to do.
It appears I now need to remove the front bumper cover so I can extract the headlamp buckets from the car. The WIS says something about unhooking the bumper cover after removing the four fender liner screws, two top radiator support screws, and two top radiator support expansion pins. What is this unhooking step? More hidden fasteners?
Before I go any further I also need to get two more H7 lamps, two lamps for the city lighs, and two lamps for the turn indicators. The car is four years old so I may as well replace all lamps when the buckets are removed.
Anyone with success doing it another way? Thanks.
