Beck Arnley Thermostat and Coolant Temp Sensor Posted by Tulsaab [Email] (#31) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Tulsaab) on Wed, 18 Apr 2012 19:45:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Our 9-5 Aero is approaching 70k and 5 years, so was about to do its first Dexcool flush, as well as replace the thermostat and perhaps the coolant temp sensor. I got the pair for about $20 online, and both were Beck Arnley brand.
The box came in today, so like a small child, I immediately opened them to inspect. The first thing I noticed is that both were made in Brazil! That kind of threw me for a loop, so I thought i'd go to the collective wisdom of the board...
Anyone know anything about Beck Arnley's quality, any experience with their t-stats and temp sensors, and why parts would be made in Brazil? I'm in purchasing for a living, so I know a thing or two about global sourcing - but I can't believe there would be enough of a market for Saab parts to build a custom line in Brazil.
